    2026 Session

    The 2026 session of the NLI will be held in the IAEA Headquarters, at the Vienna International Centre (VIC), in Vienna, Austria, from 29 November to 11 December 2026.

    Requirements and Application

    The NLI is open to professionals who are legal experts or regulators working in national regulatory bodies or other relevant national agencies and who are involved in the drafting of nuclear-related national legislation. 

    Candidates should have an excellent knowledge of English, including, as far as possible, legal terminology. Application forms must be completed in English. English proficiency of applicants may be checked throughout the selection process.

    To apply for this training course, candidates must submit their application via the InTouch+ system

    Access to the InTouch+ homepage will be granted using the candidate’s existing Nucleus username and password. If not already registered, the candidate must create a Nucleus account before proceeding with the event application process. 

    NOTE: Completed applications must be approved through the system by the relevant national authority, i.e. National Liaison Office.

    Selected participants will be informed in due course of the procedures to be followed with regard to administrative and financial matters.

    Candidates are required to attend the entire duration of the course.

    Cost and Funding

    Participation in the NLI is free of charge. The IAEA will cover, through the relevant project of the Technical Cooperation programme, travel and accommodation expenses of participants in accordance with IAEA rules and practices.
