    Strengthening Nuclear Security through Law Enforcement: INTERPOL’s Expertise in Mitigating Radiological and Nuclear Threats

    Experts from INTERPOL, beneficiary countries, and Canada at this event will discuss the evolving threat of radiological and nuclear incidents. It will highlight INTERPOL’s key initiatives – the Geiger Project, which fosters regional cooperation, and the National Capabilities Assessment and Training (NCAT) process, which strengthens national law enforcement capacity. The event will showcase how these initiatives complement IAEA efforts, emphasizing the importance of information sharing and capacity building. By raising awareness of the critical role of law enforcement, discussions aim to promote international cooperation and enhance global preparedness against radiological and nuclear threats. This event is organized by Canada.
