R&D to advance decommissioning of legacy reactors

CRP will address R&D topics related to decommissioning of legacy reactors, considering accumulated experience and ongoing activities in Member States. R&D and innovations might be related to the technical aspects and issues such as decommissioning operations specific to the reactor designs, benchmarking of technologies, drainage fluids management, radioactive residues and secondary waste management, in-situ gamma scanning or 3D modelling of activation of construction materials by neutrons, as-built modelling of constructions etc. To apply R&D and innovations from decommissioning of large research reactors in participating Member States might be also of interest.
