The IAEA supports its Member States in their work to prevent, detect, and respond to criminal acts involving nuclear and other radioactive materials. In November 2016, around one hundred customs officials, police officers and radiation detection experts from Thailand and Malaysia came together to test the effectiveness of their nuclear security systems in a cross-border exercise.
