Objectives
To implement methodologies that will allow the evaluation of the composition of biochemical compounds and elements, including heavy metals and other chemical contaminants in widely used medicinal plants in Peru, using nuclear and non-nuclear-based methodologies. To generate induced mutations in medicinal plants using ionizing radiation and screen for biochemical composition, as well as the cytological and morphological aspects as part of the process to obtain improved varieties of medicinal plants.
