Regional Workshop on Nuclear Security Detection Architecture in the Pacific Region

The objectives of the event are to familiarize participants with the following topics: i) the scope and framework of a national-level nuclear security detection architecture; ii) the role of detection in the context of security measures for nuclear and other radioactive material out of regulatory control; iii) core nuclear security detection architecture concepts; iv) best practices in nuclear security detection architecture; and, v) the need for coordination and cooperation among key stakeholders at all levels. Upon completion of this event, it is expected that participants will be able to implement nuclear security detection concepts and contribute towards a comprehensive assessment of the national detection architecture.
