Objectives
To improve andincrease productivity of rice and selected vegetable crops to reduce reliance on imports. This project proposes to improve rice and vegetable crops through the use of nuclear techniques for speed breeding. This will assist in identifying novel genotypes with enhanced yield, adaptability and nutrition quality. This initiative will in turn contribute to food security and alleviate poverty in the country.
