The purpose of the event is to share and discuss insights into — and good practices and opportunities for improving — the management of radioactive waste arising from nuclear power plant operations. The event will focus and build on the progress made by water cooled, water moderated power reactor (WWER) operators using the WWER operational waste benchmarking system. Experience from other types of nuclear power plants will also be considered.
