Eighth Review Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management

In force since 2001, the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Managementand on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management (JointConvention) seeks to achieve and maintain a high level of worldwide safety inspent fuel and radioactive waste management. To further that goal, ContractingParties deliver national reports on their implementation of the Convention'sobligations that are discussed and debated as part of a peer review processduring Review Meetings.
The Eighth Review Meeting of theContracting Parties will take place at the IAEA Headquarters in Vienna,Austria, from 17 to 28 March 2025.
