The webinar series on governing new nuclear power programmes is intended to present success stories for nuclear infrastructure development and the approaches adopted by key organizations involved.
The third webinar under the webinar series is dedicated to the Belarus nuclear power programme - from its inception to the start-up of the first nuclear power plant.
The webinar will cover the following topics:
- NEPIO’s role as a nuclear power programme coordinator;
- Owner/Operator’s responsibilities during construction, commissioning and preparation for operation;
- Development of the regulatory infrastructure for nuclear and radiation safety;??
- Role of a Technical Support Organization.
By attending this webinar, you will:
- understand the role of the Government (through the NEPIO) in coordinating the activities of the main stakeholders involved in a nuclear power programme;
- increase awareness of the roles and responsibilities of the owner/operator and regulatory body during construction, commissioning and preparation for operation; and
- gain in-depth knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a technical support organization.
