Statement by Chairman of IAEA Board of Governors on Re-appointment of Director General

Statement by the Chairman of IAEA Board of Governors, HE Ambassador Tebogo Seokolo of South Africa, on the Re-appointment of Director General Yukiya Amano:
Today the Board of Governors re-appointed by acclamation the current Director General, Mr Yukiya Amano, to a further term of office for four years, from 1 December 2017 to 30 November 2021. The Board extended to Mr Amano its congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of his re-appointment.
The appointment will be before the General Conference for its approval at its next regular session in September.
