Statement by the Chairman of IAEA Board of Governors, HE ?Ambassador Tebogo Seokolo of South Africa, on the Re-appointment of Director General Yukiya Amano:
Today the Board of Governors re-appointed by acclamation the current Director General, Mr Yukiya Amano, to a further term of office for four years, from 1?December 2017 to 30 November 2021. The Board extended to Mr Amano its congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of his re-appointment.
The appointment will be before the General Conference for its approval at its next regular session in September.
