Approaches for REIA specifically tailored to NORM facility site assessment

This e-learning course was developed within the framework of the IAEA MEREIA Programme?and is based on a Training Workshop held virtually from 7 to 11 April 2025.The course provides practical guidance on approaches and methods for radiological environmental impact assessment (REIA).Through this course, participants will:Gain practical experience in applying IAEA guidance on REIA to a specific, real-world scenario and in developing a conceptual model.Conduct dose assessments for humans using relevant methods and parameters in a practical context.Perform all calculations required to estimate doses to the public, achieving a comprehensive understanding of the underlying methodologies.Learn how to evaluate and apply assessment results.Please note that this course requires the use of a personal computer (PC) to perform calculations as part of the training activities and exercises.
