The EMRAS II programme emphasized the comparison, testing and improvement of environmental transfer models for assessing exposures to the public and non-human species. The aim of the programme is to stimulate development and encourage the elaboration of internationally agreed and harmonized assessment models for planned, existing and emergency exposure situations and strengthen assessment capabilities in Member States. The work within the EMRAS II programme included an analysis of the influence of different climates, living habits and agricultural practices.
