The comprehensive review articles included in this volume discuss exhaustively the current status of the spectroscopic and collision data for fusion plasma edge constituents. The collision processes considered include: electron scattering on plasma edge neutrals, electron impact excitation and ionization of atomic and molecular ions, particle impact induced dissociative and energy transfer reactions involving molecular hydrogen isotopes, heavy particle collision processes and ion–molecule reactions. Radiative losses and electron cooling rates for carbon and oxygen plasma impurities are also provided.
