This publication, co-sponsored by FAO, OCHA, OECD/NEA, ILO, PAHO and WHO, establishes the requirements for preparedness and response for a nuclear or radiological emergency. It expands on, complements and organizes the requirements relating to emergency management established in Safety Series No. 115, International Basic Safety Standards for Protection against Ionizing Radiation and for the Safety of Radiation Sources.
