Fast stimuli-responsive hydrogels based on natural and synthetic polymers, temperature responsive membranes and selective adsorbents were produced and tested for different applications, in particular for drug delivery systems, health care and remediation of environmental pollution. This publication summarizes the present status and the prospects of this technology.
