This webinar discusses a newly revised IAEA publication, “Managing Siting Activities for Nuclear Power Plants” NG-T-3.7 (Rev. 1) that provides practical guidance on the development of siting and supporting facilities infrastructure issues within the IAEA Milestone phased approach. It also identifies the key siting activities, in each phase, for selection and characterization of a suitable site and accruing a site license, necessary managerial and technical expertise, producing and maintaining a validated data that can be sued during the lifetime of the nuclear power plant (NPP). The revised publication also highlights the interactions with other nuclear infrastructure issues and draw on the recent siting experience and lesson learned from Member States and the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) missions.
