The seventh session of the ‘Webinar Series on the Regulatory Requirements for Medical Exposure’ focuses on radiotherapy: i) qualified medical personnel in radiotherapy (Element 13) and ii) optimization in radiotherapy (Element 14). For these elements you will learn the regulatory requirements set in the International Basic Safety Standards (GSR Part 3). The webinar will review the guidance given in IAEA SSG-46 Radiation Protection and Safety in Medical Uses of Ionizing Radiation on how the regulatory requirements can be met. Additionally, experience from Finland on how these requirements can be met will be shared.
