In a nuclear or radiological incident or emergency, the Agency’s roles encompass: notification and official information exchange; assessment of potential emergency consequences and prognosis of potential emergency progression; providing public information; providing assistance on request; and coordinating the inter-agency response. It fulfils this through the Incident and Emergency System.
