Updating the Photonuclear Data Library and Generating a Reference Database for Photon Strength Functions

Photon nuclear data describing interactions of photons with atomic nuclei are of importance for a variety of applications ranging from radiation shielding and radiotherapy to inspection technologies and transmutation of nuclear waste. The CRP will measure, compile, assess and evaluate photonuclear data and photon strength functions to update the?IAEA Photonuclear Data Library (2000) and?generate a?new reference database?of Photon Strength Functions.
